Business Model Canvas

Our group is outlining an app called Tooth Time. Tooth Time is an app that allows for kids to brush their teeth for 2 minutes, the suggested time, while watching videos that are exactly 2 minutes. Tooth time will also be a subscription that sends a box every month to a household with a toothbrush, toothpaste, and a book with a story for children.

Target Audience: Parents who have children from the age 3 to 9 years old. We want to target these specific parents because of their kids. The age of three is old enough to understand videos and transition into reading and learning how to brush teeth properly at a young age. We believe nine is the cutoff because once they are ten, they will become a little old for the stories and videos.

Value Proposition: Teaching kids to learn how to brush their teeth at the younger age group. Also allowing kids to keep up with their hygiene and teeth cleanliness. Our value proposition is the ease of teaching

Revenue Model: We are looking to charge a subscription fee for the parents. It would be between $5-$7 a month. The user would get the app with plenty of video options and also we would send a box with a fun toothbrush, floss, toothpaste, and a booklet with a kid style storybook about brushing teeth.

Competitive Advantage: Our competitive advantage is the teaching aspect of our company. No other brushing apps offer knowledge. We are offering to teach kids proper hygiene from a young age. It is a fun way to learn and at a young age they will retain and take these habits with them through life.

Market Strategy: We want to produce an app. We will get our app in all three different app stores. We will talk with specialists in the area of dental hygiene and take what we learn and incorporate it in our product. Another possibility would be to partner with one of the big name toothbrush/ toothpaste companies. This way, we will get the name out easier and also cut down on costs for our monthly boxes.

Cost Structure: The costs would include the creation and upkeep of the app. We would have to pay to work with the specialist and get their expertise. The cost of shipping and stocking the box would also be a cost. We will research the costs of creation and upkeep of an app as we get deeper into the research process.

Channels: We want to get into all the app store. We will use smartphones as our platform. We will try and get on Apple app store, the Google app store, and the Android app store. We feel this way we can cover everyone with a smartphone. We are also looking to advertise in different dentist offices around the country. This will also help get our name out to parents about helping their kids.
